How to Book Your Holiday
Contact Leisure Options for holiday availability, then complete or update a Holiday Application Form. Upon receipt, we will contact you. You will then be asked to pay a deposit of $300 per person if a Victorian holiday, $800 per person if an interstate holiday and $1000 per person if an international holiday. Upon receipt of your deposit, Leisure Options will immediately reserve a place on your selected holiday.
Paying the Balance
The balance of the holiday price must be paid not later than 60 days prior to the departure date of the holiday. Some holidays may require an earlier full payment. You will be notified of this when you book. If payment is not made by the due date, Leisure Options may treat you as if you have cancelled.
Leisure Options guarantees to operate every advertised holiday for which it has at least one fully paid traveller, or your next equivalent holiday is FREE. This guarantee covers all Leisure Options holidays. Leisure Options will not cancel a holiday merely because minimum numbers are not met.
Holiday Change or Cancellation
Leisure Options will endeavor to run all tours as published in the brochure. Despite the Holiday Guarantee occasions may arise, such as force majeure, which impose a change or cancellation beyond Leisure Option's control.
Leisure Options reserves the right to:
- Alter or modify itineraries as appropriate, and
- Alter tour costs as necessary
Should change or cancellation of a tour occur, Leisure Options will give you reasonable notice of the change or cancellation, and if possible, offer a comparable alternative. If an alternative is not available or not acceptable to you, you will be entitled to either a full refund of monies actually paid to Leisure Options or transfer to another holiday without a transfer fee.
You are entitled to bring two pieces of luggage, one which does not exceed 20kg and the other, which is hand held, that does not exceed 7kg and its size accords with airline policy. Luggage limits may vary for international travel.
If you Cancel
Subject to the Australian Consumer Law, cancellation charges for both you and your representative apply where a holiday is cancelled. Written notice of the cancellation must be given to Leisure Options. The cancellation charges below are in addition to any payment made or owed to a third party travel service provider (eg airline, hotel, tour operator):
- 60 days or more prior to travel - loss of deposit
- 31-59 days prior to travel - 50% of total cost
- 30 days or less prior to travel - 100% of total cost
- 120 days or more prior to travel - loss of deposit
- 91-119 days prior to travel - 50% of total cost
- 90 days or less prior to travel - 100% of total cost
Leisure Options strongly recommends that you take out appropriate travel insurance to cover your travel arrangements. The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade strongly recommends travel insurance for all foreign travel. Travel insurance should be taken out when paying the deposit for your holiday. Leisure Options is an authorized agent for Cover-More and can arrange your travel insurance, if you so elect.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Leisure Options excludes all liability for direct, indirect, consequential or incidental damages (including loss arising from negligence), loss of profits or savings or damages for disappointment. The liability of Leisure Options for breach of condition or warranty implied by law or otherwise, and which cannot be excluded, is limited to the extent possible, at the option of Leisure Options to the supply of the services again or the payment of having the services supplied again.
You are responsible for your own visa, passport with at least six months' validity, immigration, quarantine, customs, health and other requirements of the countries to be visited or transited. Leisure Options makes no representation as to the safety, condition or other issues that may arise at any destination. Leisure Options makes every effort to ensure the accuracy of the information in its holiday brochure. Please note that the contents of the brochure is based upon information supplied to Leisure Options by third party suppliers and Leisure Options does not have and cannot be reasonably expected to have personal knowledge of all the facilities or services provided by every supplier. Leisure Options disclaims any and all liability to any party for loss or damage resulting from any errors contained in the brochure.
Photographs show places in the relevant geographic areas, but are not necessarily included in the holiday. Accommodation photographs are representative only, and the actual rooms occupied may vary in decor, inclusions or layout from those shown. Leisure Options may use any holiday photographs or videos in any promotional material unless requested in writing prior to the use by Leisure Options otherwise by yourself.
Leisure Options put together holidays but third parties may provide transport, tour, events or accommodation. Leisure Options acts as an agent for those travel service providers. It is therefore important that you obtain and read the travel service providers terms and conditions applicable to your package. Also, make sure that you are aware of any exclusions or limitations of liability imposed by the travel service providers. Leisure Options has no liability for the products or services provided by these travel service providers, nor does Leisure Options make or give any warranty in respect of the standard of those products or services. All bookings of holiday packages are made subject to the terms and conditions, including conditions of carriage and limitations of liability imposed by those travel service providers. Your legal rights in connection with the provision of travel services are against the specific travel service provider and, except to the extent a problem is caused by fault on the part of Leisure Options, are not against Leisure Options. If for any reason any travel service provider is unable to provide the services for which you have contracted, your remedy lies against the travel service provider, not Leisure Options.
You have disclosed to Leisure Options every matter that is relevant to your condition which might impact upon our ability to provide you with the appropriate level of care while on the holiday. Leisure Options cannot provide and cannot be held responsible for not providing the appropriate level of care where you fail to disclose every matter relevant to your condition.
Leisure Options reserves the right to withdraw holiday participation from anyone whose behavior is likely to effect the smooth operation of the holiday or adversely affects the enjoyment or the safety of other travellers. Leisure Options shall be under no liability to such a person. If you need to be sent home early, you or your guardian will bear the full cost of your return, including staff costs. You are liable for any damage to property or persons which you may have caused.
All holiday departure points are in Melbourne unless notified in writing to the contrary.
